Junior Cricket

The Lakes Cricket Club fields teams from Under 10's to Under 15's in the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association.

Competition Descriptions

Under 10 and 11
Under 10 & 11 players new to competitive cricket will play Junior Cricket Level 1. All games are T20 format over a 2 hour period on a Saturday morning starting at either 7.15am or 9.45am with a 15 minute break between innings

Under 12 to Open
Players in Under 12 and above play competitively, with a mixture of one-day and two-day games. All games are played on a Saturday morning except Under 14 games between October and December are played on a Saturday afternoon. There is a strong emphasis on a fair go.

The season commences on Saturday October 13, 2018 and breaks for Christmas after Saturday December 8.  The season recommences on Saturday February 2 and the season ends on Saturday March 23, 2019.

All Players:
The Lakes Cricket Club provide all necessary equipment, except a cricket protector, which each player is expected to purchase (less than $10) and wear at all appropriate times while playing.  It is also compulsory (Club Policy) for each batsman to wear a helmet (provided by the club, if necessary).  All players are expected to wear long white cricket pants, the club shirt, a floppy brimmed hat while fielding and sunscreen.

Junior Cricket : Costs
Registrations for Under 10 to Open ranges from $200 to $220, depending on the age group. This covers registration, team photos, equipment, insurance and ground hire for the entire season (approximately 17 weeks)Should a player leave the club prior to the season ending, The Lakes CC will retrospectively withhold all or part of the fees paid to compensate for any ancillary costs already outlaid e.g. BNJCA Registration costs, Insurance, Team photograph, trophies, etc. Players who register for post Christmas season will be charged a reduced Registration fee.Sibling discount is available on request
