About Us

The Lakes Knights Cricket Club (TLKCC) was established in 2007 at The Lakes College. In 2024/25 we have grown to over 500 players. The club has bases at The Lakes College as well as Woodside Oval in North Lakes and we are the only cricket club in North Lakes. We participate in the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association competition, affiliated with Cricket Queensland and Cricket Australia.

Our club motto is "Courage with Determination".

We operate entirely by volunteers and welcome any participation parents and friends of players can provide.

TLKCC is for junior girls and boys who want to have fun with their mates and play cricket in the North Lakes region of Brisbane. We have teams and activities for 5 to 17 year olds. TLKCC is a not-for-profit club run by a dedicated committee and great support from parents.

TLKCC was incorporated in 2017, and we are very grateful to The Lakes College for their support over the past 10 years.

TLKCC added a mascot to our club in 2019 and have become the TLKCC Knight

In an exciting step forward for community sport,The Lakes Knights Cricket ClubandThe Burpengary Cricket Clubhave officially merged in 2025 to form a stronger, united club—dedicated to supporting and growing junior cricket in our region.

This merger marks a new chapter focused on opportunity, development, and inclusion for young cricketers of all ages and skill levels. Together, we’re building something bigger—more teams, more coaches, better facilities, and a clear pathway from grassroots to senior levels.

With the merger comes a fresh identity, and we’re proud to unveil ournew club logothat represents both our shared history and our future vision.

Our new colours and emblem celebrate the legacy of both clubs while symbolising unity, strength, and a bold commitment to the future of cricket in the region.
